Hello World!
Welcome to my blog. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to anyone who has sent me one or more of the hundreds of e-mails I receive; I read them all but replying to them all takes up too much of my already busy schedule.
The aim of this blog is to show most of the new tattoos and artwork I have created and describe more of what is going on behind the scenes. I would welcome all comments and hopefully bring together people who have supported my work over the past 19 years.
I plan on updating the blog a few times a week with, not only new work, but regularly digging into the archives to show artwork and photos which have never been shown to anyone.
Finally I would like to bring your attention to my partner, K’ree, who will be taking an active role in the blog and contributing her own work as a tattooist and artist. This collaboration, with your input, should bring a more personal side to The Illustrated Man website.
Peace and Respect
Steve ‘A’

This is an exciting time; so many of you have asked to see more artwork and now you will. There is so much that none of you have seen, in various mediums, that we’ll be introducing work quite gradually onto the blog - so keep popping back to see what’s new.
We do get very bogged down with e-mails so hopefully this will be a way to connect more quickly and personally with those of you who have any comments, even if you just want to say hello. Don’t stop sending e-mails, though!
I’m looking forward to reading any comments you have and to introducing my own work.
Thanks for visiting,
K’ree

I shall be round to deal with your poltergeist problem at my earliest convenience, probably next tuesday, say around midnight?
Until then.

Baron Schnitzel von Hoffenheiman, Thank you for getting back to me so soon. Tuesday midnight will be good although things have taken a slight turn for the worst. K’ree has gone into demonic possesion again, her eyes have rolled back into her head and she is emanating a white ectoplasmic goo from ears and mouth. Unlike her normal self, she is cursing profusely and uttering what seems like nonsense in a germanic language. Although her artwork has suddenly improved. Help us, Schnitz, you’re our only hope.
By the way. Last time you were here you left a bottle of Holy water but I think it has reached it’s sell-by date.
Thanks again, Steve A XXX

Steve,
Some great new stuff on your blog to check out! Very cool mate! I love to see new pieces of your work so what a great way to show them.
As always I am well impressed with your art work! I cannot wait to eventually buy a nice big piece off you for our front room wall!
Looking forward to coming to see you and Kree again soon and having some more work done to my half sleeve!
It has been a fantastic journey so far for me… a really positive experience and I cannot wait until the next time!
Hope you are both doing well guys… you both rock!
Until the next time…

Steve and K’ree,
Hello to you both.
Just wanted to say that the work I’m getting done on my Polynesian 3/4 sleeve is better than I could of ever expected. The feeling of having what could only be described as a work of art on my arm has helped me in more ways than I knew possible.
The distance needed to travel for the past year has been hard (from Maidstone, Kent) but every visit so far has been a different experience, from driving down and staying over night in the back of my van, to camping in some of the worst wind and rain I’ve seen in a long time…
Also K’rees stunning tea making ability makes the journey that much easier!
Keep up the good work, see ya soon.
Rob White.
PS Hope the wine was good?
PPS Also hope you got your poltergeist problem sorted? I’ve herd they can be a bit of a bugger!

Steve and K’ree,
Thank you for the kind hospitality shown to us this last Sunday gone. Hope you are feeling mucho better now Steve!
You both are such lovely genuine people and it’s a pleasure to drive the 150 odd miles to get our work done!
Steve, Curly is completely minted with those daisys raining down her spine, and says thanks loads for them xxxx. They are exactly how she envisaged them to be. As I said, I will mail you pics in a few days when she’s healed more.
My sleeve is starting to take shape now and I can see the direction we are in for this ultra heavy bad boy!
If I said my elbow wasn’t hurting today, I’d be lying! lol. Totally worth it and will speak later in the week regarding the next sesh!
K’ree, thanks so much for the constant teas and coffees (I have to go buy honey for the coffee now! lol)
Once again, big thanks to you both, and not forgetting the little big man, Tony! He’s a star too!
Love and respect, Stu n Curly xxxxx

Hi ya Steve its Rob from Maidstone again.
I’m not sure where to start with this one mate but its about the last time I came down…
To say I ‘m not impressed is an understatement!
I can’t believe you wrote that on the back of my arm!
I’ve got no option now, Thats going to have to stay with me for the rest of my life now… I thought I could talk to you in confidence…
The doctors said it wasn’t even contagious and that it would even grow back…
Anyway keep up the good work, my tats looking awesome!
Rob.

Steve, last time you were over here you left your collection of woodlouse eggs and polishing cloth. Do you want me to send them over in the post? If not, I’ll just bring them with me to the next Ann Summers meeting. Let me know.

Hi i saw some of your artwork on a website that i’m a member of called facepary, the fade and shading you do is some of the best i’ve ever seen, i was wondering if you’re going to be doing any london shows this year as i would love to coe along and maybe have the chance to have some work done or even just to see it done.
If not hopefully i should be able to get down to dorset so if you could email me the address of your studio that would be cool.
Best Regards, Sam H
